My Favorite Mechanic is a great name! Why should I consider a license agreement to do business as My Favorite Mechanic

Whenever a customer was called in order to give them a 'status' report on their vehicle and it was necessary to leave a message, the message was, "Tell them it's their Favorite Mechanic". That invariably brought a smile. That person would make inquiries about My Favorite Mechanic from their friend or co-worker and soon, they too, were bringing in their car! If you can make people smile or laugh, they will remember your business name...that is good marketing!

Speaking of marketing, if the brilliance of the name is not enough to convince you that My Favorite Mechanic is the best choice, one visit to the incredible press releases and national exposure garnished from having a woman mechanic at the helm should be your deciding factor! (click walk of fame to view just a sampling of the press from which you may benefit when My Favorite Mechanic lends its name to your endeavor)

What is so unique about your method of shop operation?

My Favorite Mechanic's operating method is unlike any that you have ever seen or experienced, whether as a customer or a technician!

My Favorite Mechanic's founder spent the first 15 years of her career learning how not to run a shop and the second 15 years perfecting a radical and yet extremely logical and simple method of operation. (see  Resume)

The following is a brief list of those things that are pervasive and accepted practices within the repair and service industry. My Favorite Mechanic  has found them inheriently counterproductive to and exclusive of creating maximum profits and stellar customer service:

  • appointments
  • quick repairs
  • telephone estimates
  • free estimates
  • free anything (except coffee)
  • coupons
  • cheap parts
  • discount pricing
  • customer supplied parts
  • unrealistic promises to customers
  • technicians kept 'hungry' and on the 'bottom'

Wait! You cannot simply throw those things out the door and not fill the void with something...that something is where My Favorite Mechanic's method truly shines!

Further, those antiquated practices undermine any effort to perform preventive maintenance for the customer to any effective degree!

My Favorite Mechanic stopped 'spinning its wheels' trying to improve a broken system. Shop management and methods as most people know it today were abandoned and My Favorite Mechanic started from scratch! It worked and it worked big! ( see the Testimonials page

Your method does sound unique...how do I know that it works?

My Favorite Mechanic does not work on 'suppositions' or 'theories'. It has already been proven that this method of running a shop works. Remember, My Favorite Mechanic in Atlanta is still there and is still going strong!

Don't give up on:

  • National,State and Local press promotion and exposure
  • Customers placing their names on waiting lists to get in
  • A near 0% comeback ratio
  • Customers served well and who are doggedly loyal to your shop
  • Using only the best parts, regardless of cost
  • Happy workers and technicians working around their Snap-On tool chests treated with the respect which they deserve (they are your gold!)
  • Customers that gladly refer you to their friends
  • Looking in the mirror knowing that you not only did the best that you could but that your best was extraordinary
  • Conservation measures that are earth and neighborhood friendly

My Favorite Mechanic's method of success draws a bead on the 'profit spillage' and builds a system concentrated on superior product, repair and customer service.

Can I enter into a consulting agreement with My Favorite Mechanic to analyse my shop and to implement the method for which My Favorite Mechanic is so well known without licensing the name?

Absolutely. Just give some thought, however, to the National, State and Local promotion and exposure with which you might otherwise be associated!

Can I enter into a licensing agreement for the My Favorite Mechanic name and participate in any National, State and Local press and exposure without a consulting agreement to learn the My Favorite Mechanic method of operation?

No. The My Favorite Mechanic name has an established tradition for providing the highest quality of repairs and stellar customer service. Any shop that would license use of the My Favorite Mechanic name and share in the press and exposure, would have to be well versed in the unique way in which that tradition was established.

Where is the founder of My Favorite Mechanic and how much time can she devote to my needs?
